Liyab Collective (LC) is a grassroots community organization that promotes a connected and engaged Filipino community and achieve community resiliency in Southern California’s Inland Empire region. We want to see a vibrant and connected Filipino I.E. Community by raising the collective consciousness and community organizing.

Breakdown
My goal was to help the grassroots organization develop funding while also supporting other organizations and small buisnesses. This includes:
Leading the 2024 Kasaysayan “Our Shared Stories” Open Mic event making it a fundraiser which raised $600. The fundraiser consisted of ticket sales, the option to donate even further online, in person ticket sales, and dessert sales. This fundraiser was split into 3 ways supporting L.I.N.K.E.D, an API youth and young adults internship program, My Haus Filipino Restaurant and Bakery, and Liyab Collective. They each receive $200.
