Determining grant readiness is a crucial step before applying for grants. It ensures that your organization is well-prepared and has a strong chance of winning. I start by “getting to know you”. I gather information that is needed to understand your organization and what you want to get funded. Here, we determine whether your organization is ready to pursue grants, develop your project or program that needs funding, and identify areas that may need strengthening before submitting an application.

Prospect Research

A Funding Strategy is a roadmap for the best grants to pursue that have the highest likelihood of success and return on investment. I research and develop a roadmap for how your organization will get the project or program funded by providing a list of grants to pursue.

With the information and roadmap gathered, it’s time to write! I thoroughly review the funder's application and guidelines so that you have all the necessary responses, attachments, and materials to develop a strong proposal and application.

    2. I research different grant opportunities that best fit your organization and goal for potential funding! Grant opportunities are filtered down to the top 20 through a very methodical decision making process. I look at programmatic alignment, funding history, and average award size. Thereafter, I check how competitive each of the grant programs are that we are strongly interested in. I strive to find grants with at least a 20% chance of winning.

    3. I will then provide you with a funding strategy that summarizes the top 10 grant opportunities to focus on. This includes strategy considerations like the order to pursue these grants, things the organization should do to be more competitive, etc. 

    4. Then, that roadmap is yours to implement! Or if you enjoyed working with me, and I enjoyed working with you, then I could help you implement the funding strategy and start pursuing those grants.

  • I specialize in a wide range of grants, including foundation, government and nonprofit grants.

  • We will discuss rates depending upon your unique situation. Our pricing follows Value Based Pricing.

    It is the sum of hours required to do the project, specialized expertise, what it is worth to the client, and time to deliver.

  • The timeline depends on the complexity of the grant and the readiness of the required information. Typically, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. I work with clients to establish a timeline that aligns with their deadlines.

  • While I strive to create the strongest possible grant proposals, I cannot guarantee funding. Success depends on various factors, including the competitiveness of the grant and the alignment of your project with the funder's priorities.
